# JustUs

> JustUs is a private, end-to-end encrypted chat app for exactly two people, usually a couple. Messages, photos, videos, voice notes, voice and video calls, love letters, special days, a shared calendar and games for two are encrypted on the sending phone and can only be opened on the two paired phones. Free, no ads, for adults 18+, on Android and iPhone. Made by Asli One Global Private Limited (Tamil Nadu, India).

Key facts:
- Exactly two people per space; both must agree to be paired. Sign in with a mobile number and a one-time SMS code.
- End-to-end encryption with standard algorithms (X25519, Ed25519, AES-GCM) and signed single-use keys (forward secrecy). JustUs holds no keys and cannot read content.
- The server deletes each sealed message once the partner's phone receives it. Conversations live only on the two phones; there are no cloud backups of conversations.
- Phone numbers are stored only as a one-way hash. Connection records (no content) are kept 180 days as Indian law (CERT-In) requires.
- A breakup erases everything the two shared from the server and from both phones.
- Screenshots and screen recording are blocked on Android; on iPhone the chat is hidden from them.
- Price: free. No ads, no tracking across apps, no in-app purchases.
